Connecting Everything in Web 3.0?

Picked up on the Websitenews blog an article about the possibilities of connecting massive databases to form a level of pseudo intelligence to the web, prompting the term Web 3.0:

“…with Web 3.0. the idea is that the system will provide a complete response to user queries such as “I’m looking for a country cottage in an area with little rainfall, close to but not on the coast, in or near a small town with good schools, a cinema, a library, good rail connections to a city. I want a garden with mature trees, and a park nearby. My budget is £XXX.”

I think the idea is fantastic, though my heart sinks to consider the amount of confusing hype that will go with the unnecessary term.
